Partner Showcase: Golf Outing Recap

Tri-County Jobs for Ohio’s Graduates (JOG) just wrapped up our first-ever golf outing! It took place on Monday, August 21st at Bunker Hill Golf Course. We wouldn’t have been able to make it as successful as it was without the help of our amazing sponsors and partners.
Associated Underwriters Insurance (AUI) was our title sponsor of the event. They have been a longtime supporter of the JOG program for many years and they have been involved in various ways. Chrissy Myers, the CEO of AUI is a member of the JOG board of directors and was very excited to be a part of our first-ever golf outing. They were able to show early support through being our first sponsor, and the title sponsor at that! They truly support our mission and believe in the work that JOG does.
Shon Christy Social Media was the beverage cart sponsor and has been a longtime partner with JOG. Shon Christy, President of Shon Christy Social Media is a board member at JOG. In a statement he made regarding his time at the golf outing, he expressed, “I was honored to not only golf but sponsor the first JOG golf outing. From the moment I stepped onto the course, the event exceeded my expectations. The JOG staff and the team at Bunker Hill provided an excellent customer experience for all! There is no better feeling than having fun with friends while doing good in the community. I am already looking forward to next year's event.”
We are very thankful to Bunker Hill Golf Course for their contributions both on the day of the outing as well as through their continued efforts with our students. Bunker Hill partners closely with charities to make the process as easy as possible. They work with families, nonprofits, schools, and more to help raise money for important causes, such as JOG. On the day of, staff at Bunker Hill helped our golfers through fun extra events like a 50/50 raffle, putting contest, and other engaging activities that helped us pull in extra participation. Outside of the golf outing itself, Bunker Hill is also one of our employer partners. They have had JOG students working on the course for over the past 10 years. When discussing the benefits of working with JOG, Chad Gibson said, “By [partnering with JOG] I am able to provide a workplace for some fine young individuals that need a chance to grow and receive guidance. This is a win-win relationship that I look forward to every year!”
We also wanted to say thank you to the United Way of Summit and Medina Counties, Gifted Nonprofit Solutions, Red Oak Behavioral Health, and many more! We wouldn’t have been able to put on such a successful golf outing without the help of sponsors like these. We appreciate that not only did these organizations support us through a sponsorship, but they also came out to the event to golf and show their continued dedication to our cause. We are happy that everyone had a great time at our golf outing and we are looking forward to next year’s event!
